michael winkler
Michael Winkler was born in Zurich. He studied classical guitar and completed his studies with the Master of Music in Zurich and Master of Performing Arts in Bern.
In the early 80s, he was a member of the classic rock band Eloiteron. During his studies he did other work like composing and arranging film music and documentary films. In addition to that, he also gives concerts as a solo performer with an orchestra and as a chamber musician in various ensembles, accompanying flautists, or singers.
He has released several CDs and making a name for himself as an interpreter of the works of J.S. Bach and F. Tarrega and his own compositions for guitar.

Since 2012, he has been working closely with the well-known singer Andreas Winkler, performing a Scottish, Irish, Italian and classical repertoire.
Michael Winkler teaches at the Gymnasium Rämibühl in Zurich.
